Highlands Performing Arts Center

The Highlands Performing Arts Center and the Highlands Playhouse to present Anniversary Movies:

It's hard to believe that My Fair Lady is 50 years old...that Oklahoma is 60 years old and that the legendary Fantasia is 75 years old.  Believe it or not, it's true.  Have you ever seen these movies on the "big screen"?  Most likely not, but your chance to view these iconic films the way they were meant to be seen "on the big screen" is coming to Highlands.   A collaboration between the Highlands Playhouse and the Highlands Performing Arts Center is making this opportunity become a reality.  The Highlands Performing Arts Center has the connection and the contract with By-Experience to present these films.  The Highlands Playhouse has the equipment to screen them.  The first film shown, My Fair Lady, was presented at the Highlands Performing Arts Center with their equipment on Tuesday, October 27.  The other two films will be presented at the Highlands Playhouse utilizing their equipment.  My Fair Lady could be shown on the hard drive at the Highlands PAC, Oklahoma and Fantasia are only available on DCP, the equipment the Highlands Playhouse utilizes to bring first run films to Highlands.  The two venues are working together to bring these iconic films to the Highlands Cashiers community so we all can view these films the way they meant to be seen....On the BIG SCREEN.  Oklahoma will be screened on Tuesday, November 3rd at 7pm.  Fantasia will be screened on Tuesday, November 10th at 7pm.
